A little bit about how I work.....

I've been a working farrier in Marion County, Florida for over 17 years.  I've owned and trained racehorses for most of my life, so the transition to full time farrier was pretty easy.  

Since I am a horse owner myself, I know what horses need to be at their best, and what horse owners expect from their farrier.  My goal is to give your horse the best hoof care possible, and to give you, the horse owner, the best experience possible.  

I work by appointment, and I keep my appointments.  As every horse owner knows, sometimes with horses, things don't go quite as quickly as planned, so if I'm running late (which can happen), I will let you know by text or phone.  On the flip side, if your horse needs a little extra time or work to get things just right, he'll get as much time as he needs.

I work with a variety of horse breeds and disciplines, which gives me a wide range of experience.  I offer standard trimming, hot and cold shoeing, plus glue-on shoes for those horses who can't have shoes nailed on, or whose owners just prefer not to nail on shoes.  My specialty and passion is in therapeutic shoeing and bonding work.  I love helping horses whose feet were previously thought to be unfixable, and watching them walk off free of pain.
